Grumpy Flowers is a boutique florist and event styling business specialising in whimsical arrangements for weddings and gifts. They approached me to develop their brand identity, drawing inspiration from groovy 1960s iconography, with a modern twist and a pastel palette.
Grumpy Flowers is a boutique florist and event styling business with a focus on crafting imaginative arrangements for weddings and special occasions. Known for their playful yet elegant aesthetic, they wanted a brand identity that communicated their quirky persona while remaining sophisticated and contemporary. I was approached to design a brand identity that captured these values and connected with their target audience.
I began the process by immersing myself in their vision and brand personality. Drawing inspiration from groovy 1960s iconography with a modern twist, I created a logo and brand visuals that were playful, nostalgic, and delightfully unconventional. The design incorporated hand-drawn floral motifs and rounded typography in a pastel palette, which conveyed the whimsical nature of their business while maintaining a refined look.
The result was a brand identity that perfectly captured the essence of Grumpy Flowers. The business owner loved the initial concept and requested no changes, confident that the new look aligned with their values and would appeal to their audience.
The refreshed branding has since become a cornerstone of Grumpy Flowers' identity, helping them stand out in a crowded market and connect with like-minded customers.
