After a recent rebrand, The Avocado Factory sought updated packaging and merchandise that appeals to their target audience whilst fitting within their existing brand guidelines.
The Avocado Factory, the first avocado bar in Southeast Asia, is a renowned foodie destination in Bali. With their reputation and business booming, they were in preparation to open their second location. Having completed a rebrand just a few years ago, The Avocado Factory wanted to ensure their image was as fresh as their food whilst remaining in line with their brand identity. I was approached to design packaging and merchandise that fit within their existing brand guidelines while appealing to their target audience of young and trendy foodies. I designed food packaging including burger boxes, paper cups, coffee cups and takeaway boxes, as well as t-shirts, tote bags and hats.
I began by creating a series of icons to use across my concepts, building off the brand icon of an avocado with a hexagonal nut, which represents the 'avocado' and 'factory' in its name. The icons I designed feature food items available on their menu, such as eggs, tomatoes, croissants, and strawberries, each fitting within a hexagonal shape. Along with these icons, I suggested a series of avocado-based puns that we could use across merchandise and as CTAs within marketing, and focused in on the lime green and darkest green of the brand palette for high impact and contrast.
The team at The Avocado Factory were pleased with the expansion on their established brand identity and the refreshed appeal to their audience as they continued to grow.
